I love summers in our little town, especially when there is no wind, the perfect temperature, and the best company. After a crazy weekend, instead of getting ready for the new week ahead, we decided to take a little flight around the area with my drone. First stop, WanaLain near Pukwana, SD. I’ve always enjoyed that place…it’s back roadsy, been known to maybe have a beer or two there in my younger days, been used as a perfect photo opp for senior pictures…you’re getting the drift.
The dam was built in 1936 and is still owned by the State of South Dakota, but all other land around it is privately owned…..pretty cool place for an evening drive.

Our next stop was just down the road. A cousin of mine mentioned that she wanted a pic of her place…the sun was just going down and I thought I was getting close on not having enough light, but I think it turned out just perfectly.

And last but not least, twilight over our sleepy little town, Chamberlain. No matter how many times I take in this view, it never gets old. Morning, day, and night brings different levels of beauty. We just about got ate up by mosquitos at our stopping point, Roam Free Park, right above the town, but a few bites was worth it…..don’t you think??

So that was our evening 🙂 Pretty dang awesome! Please contact me if you are interested in any drone photography for your farm, ranch, or property.
